Easthall Park Housing Cooperative
To join the Management Committee you must be a member of the Co-operative and over 16 years of age.
The Management Committee is made up of "ordinary" residents of Easthall Park Housing Co-operative. All members of the Committee are voluntary, (they do not get paid for the work they do), however all reasonable expenses including childcare costs are met to ensure that no one is out of pocket for the work they carry out.
We wish to encourage participation from all members and all we require is that you are willing to contribute your time to the Co-operative.
The Management Committee carries out all the policy decisions on behalf of the Co-operative, setting targets for our performance and monitoring the service we provide for tenants and owners.
The workings of the Co-operative carried out by the Committee, (which normally meets once per month on Wednesday evenings), cover a large variety of issues such as:
Housing Management & Maintenance
Examination of all issues relating to the allocation of properties, monitoring level of arrears and taking steps to recover these. When discussing arrears cases, no names or addresses are given and strict confidentiality is maintained.
Monitoring of repairs and maintenance of the Co-operatives stock and area including performance of contractors.
Development
Approving plans for improvements, conversion and newbuild projects. Approving and monitoring the performance of contractors and consultants.
Finance
Overseeing all aspects of the Co-operative finances including ensuring that monies are available for future projects and for the replacement of items as required.
