Easthall Park Housing Cooperative

Tenant Participation

The whole reason that Housing Co-operatives are effective is that they are based on the principle that tenants should be as fully involved as they wish in the working of the Co-operative and in the Communities in which they live.

We recognise that not everyone wants to or can be involved as much as others but here are some of the ways in which you can have a say in what happens in your area.

Join the Committee

All members have the opportunity to be elected to join the Committee and determine what direction the Co-operative will take.

Consultation

We will consult with any tenants groups within the area to seek their views before making or changing housing management policies that are likely to significantly affect tenants. We will use a variety of methods to carry out this consultation including newsletters, public meetings, questionnaires and specific focus groups if appropriate.

You can assist us by responding or participating in any of the above. Remember we wish to provide you the best possible service and therefore we want to hear from you whether your comments are good or bad and we will do everything we can to improve our service.

Tenants Groups

We will work with any properly constituted tenants groups whether they are registered with us or not. The main criteria that we look for is that the group properly represents the people in the area that it serves.

Tenant Participation Strategy

The Co-operative has developed a tenant participation strategy in consultation with our members and a full copy of the strategy is available to download. If you have any comments or suggestions on this strategy please contact john@easthallpark.org.uk
