Committee Member Opportunity
Easthall Park Housing Co-operative is based in Easterhouse in the north east of Glasgow and we are looking for a dynamic individual for a co-option vacancy on our Management Committee.
Our overarching aim is ‘Making a Difference in our Community’ through the provision of excellent services, improvement in our communities and tenants’ homes and maximising opportunities to improve the quality of lives of our tenants and residents in partnership with Easthall Residents Association and others.
It is an interesting time to be involved in Easthall Park as it goes through a period of strategic review, bringing new opportunities and challenges to the Co-operative. We require to further strengthen the Management Committee to ensure there is effective governance during this review period and we protect the interests of a full range of stakeholders in maximising these opportunities and challenges.
We are keen to recruit a co-optee member to the Management Committee with skills and experience in either finance, governance or HR to enhance the capability of the Committee to lead and direct the Co-operative.
Our Commitment to You
The position of a Committee member is voluntary and members can claim expenses to attend meetings and associated work of the Committee. We also offer an excellent programme of training and development, which includes attendance at our annual mini-conference, seminars and sector conferences and other training to enhance your ability to perform the Committee member’s role.
We require Committee members to commit to attending ten Management Committee meetings per year, as well as participate in a sub-Committee that meets on a quarterly basis. These meetings are usually scheduled for evenings and last circa two hours and are held in the Co-operative’s office. We would expect Committee members to attend training to enhance their skills and knowledge to become an effective Committee member.
For an informal chat, please contact our Interim Director, Kenny Mollins at the office on 0141 781 2277.
If you are interested in being a co-optee on our Management Committee and feel you can ‘make a difference’ we would be delighted to hear from you. Please send your CV with a brief supporting statement to the Co-operative at email@example.com by Monday 9th May 2022.
