Would you like to have your say on how the Co-op delivers its services? If so, why not come along to our Residents Panel meetings? We want to be the best we can be and we believe that listening to tenants helps us do that- that is why the Residents Panel is important to us. The Panel is made up of residents of Easthall & Kildermorie – just like you- who meet every couple of months to discuss a wide range of topics important to tenants. No special skills or qualifications are necessary – everyone’s view is important and worth listening to. Meetings are informal and everyone is encouraged to
take an active and positive part in discussion. The Panel has developed a set of ‘rules’ which all members are expected to keep to so that this can happen. You can see these rules here:
Residents Panel Rules:
- All equal
- No chairperson
- Not for personal gain
- Active listening
- Grow & learn
- Allow others to speak
- No mobiles
You can see notes of their meetings on the left hand side.
The members of the Residents Panel decided that they would like to look at the subjects listed below in 2015. At our next meeting we will discuss what we will focus on in 2016.
How is your rent is spent- is it value for money?
How we deal with anti-social behaviour and neighbour nuisance
How we deal with day to day repairs
How we deal with complaints about our service
As well as this the Panel will be scrutinising and commenting on the Co-op’s performance in delivering services and they will help in the preparation of our report to tenants which we will issue in October.
So, a busy few months ahead. If you are interested in getting involved – even just occasionally – please speak to Claire McGraw our Housing Manager or any other member of staff – or complete the form below.
