History

Easthall Park Housing Co-operative is a fully mutual organisation, owned and controlled by tenants, situated in Easterhouse, Glasgow.  Our housing services are managed and co-ordinated from the Glenburn Centre in Easthall, which is a multi-purpose community facility.

The Co-operative celebrates its 30th year anniversary in 2022 having been formed in 1992 and has evolved through significant area regeneration with new build housing developments and a housing stock transfer from Glasgow Housing Association.  Our housing stock presently consists of 695 rented properties and we provide a factoring service to 55 owner-occupiers.

We have always defined ourselves as being ‘More than a Landlord’, providing high quality housing accommodation and services to our tenants and in partnership with Easthall Residents Association, where we have delivered a wide range of community services to improve our people’s lives and opportunities in the Glenburn Centre through the community café, IT suite, games hall and an array of activities and events for the local community.

The Co-operative is proud of its success and has secured accreditations for its work and community regeneration, where the highlights were:

  • 2022- Strategic Options Appraisal decision to remain independent
  • 2017- Scotland's Best Employer Award under the not for profit category
  • 2015-  Small Social Landlord of the Year and Housing Excellence Award
  • 2013- UK Small Landlord of the Year  - Chartered Institute of Housing and Inside Housing

The Co-operative is managed by a Management Committee made up mainly of our tenants and co-optees with skills to enhance the Committee’s capability to lead and direct the business. The tenants on the Committee are elected by our shareholders at the Annual General Meeting in September of each year.
